Two team meetings were conducted to discuss the results of the needs assessment and the local presentation of the proposed plan of activities, and to finalize the projects/activities to be conducted through adopt-a-barangay project in Barangay Cahigam on February 23 and 24, 2021 at Batangas State University Rosario.

RED SPARTAN: AMIDST TO THE NEW NORMAL APPROACH To ON-THE-JOB TRAINING” on January 25, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. for students who will take Internship Training program on 2nd sem 2020-2021 for Business Administration major in Human Resource Development, Marketing, and Financial Management. The exercise was spearheaded by Ms. Joan Camille A. Verdadero, the coordinator of the On-the-job training office, and was carried out online using the Goggle Meet Application. It is done to comply with the government's current normal strategy of avoiding physical contact due to the pandemic. The seminar's goal is to familiarize incoming student trainees for the first semester of 2020-2021 with their internship program, work ethics during the training period, sexual harassment, and health and safety protocols. On her topic, she discussed the benefits of home gardening, things to do to give nutrients in plants, importance of NPK, types of compost and how to use it, and applying different types of fertilizer. She also presented various video tutorials on how to prepare and apply types of fertilizers so that participants easily understand what is being discussed.

The use of an Inventory Management System via Microsoft Excel that had been personally prepared by the mentor was discussed and presented to the business owners for them to apply or use in their inventory monitoring and control. “Our garden allows us to work the earth, to watch things grow. People need to scratch about the soil, breathe in the scent of the plant and flower, let off steam and meet other people. For many, it’s most like therapy.” This importance of having green spaces in our home to help earth from the devastating effect of human waste and pollution is prominent now. Saving planet while having fun time with the family triggered the CTE family to conduct a series of webinar to alleviate the awareness of its community to home gardening and its potential use for humanity and environment.

The conducted 4th phase of the webinar focused on how the, home makers will push their selves to create their open space into much more productive and beneficial space while having fun time making their surrounding relaxing, environment friendly, edible, attractive and budget wise to the homemakers’ family. As mentioned, it is the 4th phase of the webinar series, that is concluded last October 28, 2021 (9:00 AM until 12:00 NN), via Google meet which had participants and was broadcasted live in Facebook with 570 viewers. Kick-off Program of the 18-Day Campaign. The campaign was launched on November 15 via Google Meet and FB live

streaming in the Batangas State University Rosario. The eight activities for the 2021 campaign were discussed by Dr. Bersoto. Messages and invitation to participate were rendered by Ms. Erin Iris delos Santos, Dr. Expedito Acorda, Dr. Rosalinda Comia, Dr. Dyzel Asi and Dr. Luzviminda Abacan. Campaign videos were also shown to reinforce the advocacy to end violence against women. Sixty-four (64) students, teaching and non-teaching personnel, alumni and parents/guardians participated in the Google Meeting and 643 students and parents/guardians viewed the live streaming via FB Page.

Safe Spaces Pledge. The commitment-sharing of the stakeholders of the University was sealed by a pledge recitation held November 25, 2021 via Google Meet and FB livestreaming.

Let’s Make this a Safe Space Ground Campaign. Materials like posters and brochures were produced and adopted (PCW

printable materials and posters) and distributed. Posting of visual messages and streamers/tarpaulin, and distribution of EIC to the different offices, sidewalks, alleys, restrooms, and other spaces, and on FB Pages and sharing on FB GCs was facilitated by the GAD Office and Office of Guidance and Counseling and Student with Special Needs and PWD from November 25 to December 12, 2021.The campaign reached 1000 stakeholders online and 300 personals (distribution of brochures and streamers).

Orange Your Icon Advocacy Initiative. This initiative enjoins the University to color its major landmarks or icons with orange (decorate with orange lights) from November 25 to December 12. The logo and signage at the façade of the campus were be decorated with LED lights. This initiative aims to attract and spark public’s curiosity which provides opportunities for advocates to explain and to declare their support to the Anti-VAW advocacy. This served as a springboard for public discourse and for disseminating the message of zero-tolerance for VAW. Online campaign. Students, teaching and non-teaching staff, parents/guardians, and alumni used the 18-Day Campaign to End VAW Facebook Profile Frame and Digital Banner as Facebook Cover.

webinar activity tackled different areas on how to organize an effective event management activity. Phase 1 was held on April 12, 2022, via google meet. The faculty members of Batangas State University Rosario led by the CABEIHM Department facilitated the webinar. His topic was focused on the following areas the introduction of Event management, how it was

defined, NCIII Event Management, Event Template, and Timeline of the Activity. He started his talk by giving a motivational quote from Victor Turner, which states that” Every human society celebrates with ceremony and rituals, its joy, sorrows, and triumph he discusses that those are the reasons why events took place. He also discusses that event management requires to have planning, organizing, directing,

coordinating, rewarding, motivating, and, rewarding people or staff to attain the vision and objectives of the event. That those areas should be taken into account to have a smooth flow of events and to create value for the event as well as the customers and society. As part of the discussions, he also uttered that

events may be according to purpose: to celebrate, convene, commune, and commerce and commune. Events may be organized in the accordance with the following frequency, monthly, quarterly, semestral, annual, biennial, triennial, and quadrennial. When it comes to the corporate set up events commonly took place monthly and quarterly. The event stakeholders were also tackled, including guests, event committee, event financer, and, event suppliers

The second part of the discussion focused on the introduction of the TESDA NCIII Event Management. He defined and provided the services offered by the TESDA as well as the skills that can be developed upon completing the assessment. The process and documents needed to be filled out and

submitted before the assessment period. The university decided to choose Le Prime Institute Technology to be the testing center for those who will take the assessment. The discussion also highlights that the takers from the batch in December 2019 gathered a 100% passing rate which is 17 out of 17 passers.

Testimonies from the passers provide the justifications that the certification and learnings gained are very beneficial where they were able to apply it to their work.

The third part of talked provided the needed contents of the proposals such as the event committee and responsibilities, letter of intent to the host, evet concept, and description. Time frame, event program, event site map, event venue, event layout, event marketing strategies, event budget/ financial plan,

contingency plan, event suppliers, event request letters, and event SWOT Analysis The last part focus on the time frames for the one-on-one coaching which will be held on April28-30 and the target day of assessment will be on May 20 or 27 which will be a face-to-face making and presentation with the assessors. The assessment will be an on-the-spot proposal making, in which the assessors will provide a topic or specific event which the takers will formulate their own proposal.

He also shared his personal experiences. Mr. John Zedric Barawidan as well as other students participated in an open forum that addressed concerns and questions from the audience.

This timely and vital webinar entitled Bridging the Gap: Practice Teaching in the New Normal Training for the Pre-service Teacher Education Students, was conducted last April 23, 2022. He reiterates that the school has placed this policy in a serious matter that needs to be followed. Through explanation, games, question and answer, Mr. Lontoc opened the eyes of each participants in what action can be taken when a certain scenario exists. This child protection policy aims to protect children from any forms of violence that may be inflicted by the adults or person with authority. Bullying from co-students was also tacked at this event.

The Rosario Livestock and Agricultural Farming Cooperative (TLARFC), formerly known as the Rosario Dairy Raisers

Association (RODRA) was registered as a cooperative last September 13, 2019. Presently, they are producing dairy products, particularly carabao milk in different flavors, pastillas, and kesong puti. As part of the project, an ocular visit and pre-need assessment were made last April 21, 2022 to determine the present status of the cooperative. With this, the team was able to see the operations of the cooperative, tasks performed by each personnel, the way they handle their clients as well as the limitations experienced. Based on the interview with Ms. Catherine A. Santiago, the general manager, the cooperative has expanded its operation through the assistance provided by different government agencies. In addition, most of its employees are members and their relatives as it is part of the cooperative’s objectives. Presently the cooperative is in partnership with DepEd wherein they provide packed carabao milk for its feeding program. This partnership contributes most of the income of the cooperative. It was also mentioned they are supplying their products outside the province, particularly to the retailers in Manila Area.

The GAD Coordinator, Ms. Jacquelyn D. Salazar stated the objectives setting of the webinar and followed by the introduction of the Resource Person which is Atty. Alexander J. Corachea. His topic was focused on the following areas gender parity, gender diversity, and safe space act. He started by defining and discussing what Diversity and gender diversity are. The Philippines is considered one of the top implementers of gender equality. In other Arab countries, female have been

denied education, and denied the right to vote. The focus of his discussion was the status of gender equality/ issues within the Philippines. Five benefits of implementing a gender Diversity policy has been part of the discussions which include increased positivity in the workplace, decrease turnover, widen the talent pool, improved reputation, and direct representation. According to him as the labor turnover increases, it also indicates as another increase in the expenses of the organization, to avoid it, the organization should maintain an environment where there is the fair treatment and safe environment, and gender parity should exist to maintain and retain employees the role of policy that protect the human

rights of employees should be available. This timely and vital webinar entitled Bridging the Gap: Practice Teaching in the New Normal Training for the Pre-service Teacher Education Students, was conducted last May 14, 2022. Through a clear and comprehensive discussion by the guest speaker mentioned above, Ms. Ilao discussed what an action research is and its components. She also shared to the participants the DepEd research agenda and the research management guidelines. The discussion was an eye-opener to the practice teachers in the world of action research.

The university as an advocate of gender equality through the GAD and Extension office of Rosario in collaboration with the colleges of CABEIHM, CTE and CIT conducted an on-site free legal counseling that help filled the void that the circumstances created. It specially promoted awareness of victims right to seek legal assistance and therefore reduce the number of unresolved cases of gender-based violence.

This initiative was conducted to help the community, particularly the students, alumni, and other stakeholders of the university to promote gender equality at work, in the workplace, and even at home.

This webinar helped and assisted participants to gain knowledge on laws pertaining to gender equality.

The participants were educated on gender-based rights issues and concepts of gender diversity. Raz, Atty. Argelique M. Divino , Atty. Rachel Acusa. And Atty. Ona. At Around 9:00 am the free legal counseling proper started, clients from different

areas in Rosario such as Ibaan, Bayawang, Namunga came to seek legal advice/ counseling related to their own cases on gender and development issues, and concerns and it ended at exactly 5:00 in the afternoon.

Lastly, a certificate of appreciation was awarded to the representative lawyers from the Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Batangas Chapter who share their free services to help the community. The closing remarks were delivered by the Asst. Director, of Extension Services Office. The organizers were hopeful that the session had taught them a lot, particularly about knowing and protecting their human rights.

has difficulty in preparing and understanding their records. Indeed, they are paying an intensive amount of money to keep and maintain their books of records.

The bookkeeping was held on September 23, 2022, at BatStateU Rosario Start-Up and Simulation Hub, wherein selected directors and core operational staff participated in the said training. The activity was held face-to-face to really get hands-on with the actual process of recording prescribed by the cooperative development authority and other governing agencies like the bureau of internal revenue and the business permit licensing office. It started early, around seven in the morning. The resource speaker was Dr. Aquino M. De la Pena, who discussed the importance of recording and assessing the record-keeping practices of the cooperative, wherein there were several findings and recommendations. The speaker also pointed out the accounting process and the principles of accounting, particularly the multi-entry level. However, there were two mentors who facilitated the workshop: Dr. Dyzel D. Asi and Dr. Anna Liza H. Manalo. Through mentoring with a 1:2 ratio, the team was able to teach and help participants learn how to record their transactions in different books and journals.
