Program Educational Objectives (PEO)


To provide quality Architecture education for national development, responsive to industry and global competitiveness.


  1. Ensure mastery of comprehensive architectural design knowledge, both in theory and practice, and proficiency of skills by the graduates in accordance with the scope of the practice of architecture as provided for in the Republic Act No. 9266 and Its Implementing Rules and Regulations;

  2. Inculcate to the students an abiding faith in God, the value of honor and sense of responsibility, sanctity of home, dignity of labor and love of country and fellowmen;

  3. Direct and focus the thrust of architecture education to the needs and demands of society and its integration into the social, economic, cultural and environmental aspects of nation building;

  4. Instill appreciation of the basic philosophy and the fundamental principles of the multi-dimensional aspects of architecture, interior design and advertising understanding of the direct relationship between man and its environment, and the role of these professionals in the furtherance these objectives;

  5. Engender the importance of preserving, conserving and promoting the nation’s heritage and culture, customs and traditions;

  6. To instill compliance to architectural and develop professional work ethics.

Student Outcomes (SO)

The following skills, knowledge, and behavior are expected to be attained by students as they progress through the program:

  1. Ability to apply knowledge of mathematics and science to solve architecture problems
  2. Ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data
  3. Ability to design a system, component, or process to meet the desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability, in accordance to standards
  4. Ability to function on multidisciplinary teams
  5. Ability to identify, formulate, and solve architecture problems
  6. Understanding of professional and ethical responsibility
  7. Ability to communicate effectively
  8. Broad education necessary to understand the impact of architecture solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context
  9. Recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in life-long learning
  10. Knowledge of contemporary issues
  11. Ability to use techniques, skills, and modern architecture tools necessary for architecture practice
