BatStateU dominates ME licensure exam; Bares 5 out of 10 topnotchers

Keeping up with global standards, Batangas State University still is the premier mechanical engineering school in the country as it again claimed the top-spot victory back-to-back with five alumni garnering highest places in the March 2016 Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination administered by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC), held March 30-31, 2016.

Fifty-nine out of sixty-one Borbonian graduates passed the licensure exam achieving an impressive 96.72 percent passing rate way above the 55.32 percent national passing rate, making way for the University to land as the Top Performing School in the board examination.

The University’s roster of newly registered mechanical engineers who ranked the highest were Engr. Jossua Corona, Top 3 with 88.90 percent, Engr. Charlene Bohol, Top 5 with 88.05 percent, Engr. Gerard Mercado, Top 6 with 87.70 percent, Engr. Christian Bagsic, Top 8 with 87.15 percent, and Engr. Ferylen Manalo, Top 10 with 86.70 percent.

Furthermore, among the mechanical engineering schools in the country, BatStateU is the only university which surpassed the PRC standard of achieving at least 80 percent passing rate within 50 or more alumni examinees.
