CHED designates BatStateU with Centers of Excellence and Development

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) recognized the five programs of Batangas State University with Center of Excellence and Centers of Development during the awarding ceremony on May 17, 2016 at the CHED Auditorium, HEDC Building, UP Diliman Quezon City. BatStateU has been designated with Center of Excellence in Electronics Engineering and Centers of Development in Development Communication, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Teacher Education. BatStateU Launches Tactical Operative Amphibious Drive (TOAD)

The Tactical Operative Amphibious Drive (TOAD) kicked off in Taal Lake Yacht Club in Talisay, Batangas on February 4, 2016. This amphibious vehicle for disaster response is designed and developed by a four-man team headed by the Batangas State University President Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo who is an ASEAN Engineer; Engr. Albertson Amante, an electronics engineer and Asst. Director for Engineering and Technology Research; Prof. Armando Sinohin, a senior faculty of automotive; and Mr. Eugene Ereno, a University research associate. (Read More)

BatStateU dominates ME licensure exam; Bares 5 out of 10 topnotchers

Keeping up with global standards, Batangas State University still is the premier mechanical engineering school in the country as it again claimed the top-spot victory back-to-back with five alumni garnering highest places in the March 2016 Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination administered by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC), held March 30-31, 2016. BatStateU students win Power Mac Center’s Cinemansanas

Batangas State University students, Seliada C. Asilo of the Development Communication Program and John Raymond C. Ilagan of the Electronics and Communications Engineering Program won the Diamond Award for Pixelworx Cinemansanas 2016 Student Category. Their short film entry entitled “Flared” is a story of a blind boy who turned his dark life into a colorful one through his imagination. Asilo and Ilagan received thirty thousand pesos worth of Power Mac gift card. (Read More)

CTI names 3 winners of build drone program

Batangas State University Center for Technopreneurship and Innovation announces the three teams who won the BatStateU Challenge Lab: Build A Drone Program on its awarding ceremonies on April 1, 2016 at the Lecture Room, International Affairs Office CITE Building, Main Campus 1. The winning teams were Firefly, a drone that can be deployed during fire incidents; SACA or Systematic Agricultural Crop Aerial Drone and PDU or Police Drone Unit. They will be given the chance to prototype their ideas which will be sponsored by SKP Lab, a US based company on drone development and services, and possibly incubated by the BatStateU CTI. Innovations and Excellence Awards

After six years of making it into the top 10 of the SWEEP Innovations and Excellence Awards, a team of BS ECE Students from the Batangas State University finally grabbed this year’s coveted grand price. Their entry, Pinoy Extra, bested more than 300 venture from different universities in the Philippines. This year had the biggest number of entries for the said competition. (Read More)
