Under its umbrella are six major programs committed to hone students to be diligent and excellent professionals of the future while maintaining their humility and God-fearing attitude. During the last two years, CABEIHM has spread its wings. Added to its full-blown programs are the Customs Administration, Public Administration, and the graduate programs of both Business and Public Administration. CABEIHM is now considered one of the biggest colleges of the University. Now on its 12th year, the College remains steadfast to its commitment to uphold quality instruction, research activities and extension services not to discount the continuous education of its faculty members and workforce.
Recognitions, awards, academic performances, research participations in the local and international avenues, and board examinations results are inviting reasons to enroll in this College .
Prof. Elisa S. Diaz
The School of Accountancy, Business & Economics (SABE) was established in June 1999 with initial four-course offerings: BS Accountancy, BS Business Administration, Bs Applied Economics and BS Entrepreneurship. All these courses have computer applications to keep abreast with the changing time. Also, a six-month on-the-job training was made mandatory and part of the four-year programs.
Prof. Marites de Chavez was its first Dean and supported by a lean (5 faculty members) but witty teaching force. On its second year, new programs were offered: BS Marketing, BS Financial Management and BS Secretarial Administration. Enrollment in the department in SY 2000-01 doubled which made SABE the largest department in the Main Campus. Likewise, the member of instructors had increased five-fold.
School Year 2001-2002 brought some major changes in the department. The School of Accountancy was created and separated from the original SABE. Thus, two (2) dynamic departments were created, the School of Business & Economics (SBE) and the School of Accountancy ( SA) headed by the Dean Ma. Carmen Lontoc. In the same year, students of SBE were mandated to take up additional minor courses and a new course, BS Accounting Management, was offered in the School of Accountancy.
In 2002, to Executive Order No. 330 of Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency of Accreditation Program (ETEEAP), the BS Business Administration Program was revised with a new program title, BS Business Management and with 13 majors:

- Corporate Communication International Banking
- Economics Insurance and Risk Management
- E-Commerce Management Information System
- Financial Management Marketing Management
- Human Resource Management Secretarial Administration
- Legal Management
The School of Accountancy and the School of Business & Economics were again merged retaining its former name, i.e. SABE or the School of Accountancy, Business & Economics. The curricula in the BS Accountancy & BS Business Management were revised in 2007 in pursuant to CHED Memorandum Order No. 39, Series of 2006. A five-year BS Accountancy program was offered in 2007 and the BS Business Management program was reverted back to its original name, BS Business Administration, this time with only five (5) majors:
- Business Economics
- Financial Management
- Human Resource Development Management
- Marketing Management
- Operation Management
In May 2008, the International Hospitality Management Department became part of the School of Accountancy , Business & Economics, This mean that the BS Tourism Management & BS Hotel & Restaurant Management programs, which were formerly with the College of Industrial Technology, are now included in the program offerings of the School. Corollary to this, the name and the status of SABE were changed. It is now called the College of Accountancy, Business, Economics & International Hospitality Management (CABEIHM). The Change of name and status was approved on May 26, 2008 during the 18 th regular meeting of the Board of Regents of Batangas State University.
From its humble beginning, the College has achieved prominence in various fields. The Accountancy Department in particular has produced several board passers starting 2003 when our 1 st batch of graduates took the CPA Licensure Exam. To date, BSU’s Accountancy program has received recognitions from the professional Regulation Commission (PRC) as one of the top performing schools nationwide. For the past 5 years, our passing percentage is always above the national passing percentage.
1. Awarded for Level I status by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) in BSBA and BSA program last September 2009 and candidate for Preliminary survey for HRM and Tourism program
2.Dr. Nora Lumbera- Magnaye, the first lady President of Batangas State University, warmly welcomes His Excellency, Vu Xuan Truong, the ambassador of the Republic of Vietnam, together with Dr. Tuan Anh, the Director for the International Training Program of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry. They arrived on August 5, 2008 to visit the professors from TNU who are taking intensive English Course at BSU, and to strengthen the relationship between the two Universities by discussing the extension of the undergraduate, Master and Doctors Programs.
At present, there are five (5) Vietnamese students graduated in Business Administration Program of the College. (3- Business Economics Major and 1 Financial Management major.

ACTIVITY 1: THE ART OF MENTORING RESEARCH
November 19, 2011, the research coordinators of CABEIHM, Mr. Gemar G. Perez and Mrs. Irene Maralit conducted the first research conference at Multimedia 2, CITE Bldg., Batangas State University, Main Campus 1. The program started at 8:00 AM by the registration of participants. After the registration, the program proper was initiated by an invocation and national anthem. This event was hosted by Mr. Angelo C. Panilagan and Ms. Ma. Krystle A. Banaag. A short message from Prof. Elisa S. Diaz Dean of CABEIHM was rendered. Research Director Prof. Rosemarie Robles, the first speaker, tackled the status of university research. The statistical records reflected that CABEIHM Research, for the past years, had been stagnant. Dr. Virginia Baes, also an invited speaker, made a discussion on how to come up with researchable topic. The third speaker, Prof. Elisa S. Diaz, discussed the Monsters of Research — the problems encountered by the researchers, advisers, and panelist in the research course.
In the afternoon, the Director of Planning and Development, Prof. Ramona I. Romero, gave details on the content of the research papers. Moreover, the discussion on the statistical treatment and proper measurements in research was rendered by the Prof. Realiza M. Mame. In the end, the research coordinators discussed the proper format of thesis and feasibility studies. The program ended at 5:30 PM after several questions being raised and answered. The program was formally closed by Prof. Carmela S. Macatangay, the Associate Dean.

ACTIVITY 3: STUDENTS RESEARCH COUNCIL
March 20, 2011, the research unit of the college conducted a Local Students’ Research Forum. The activity was started was started at 9:30 AM. Different student’s researches have been presented: the Economics, HRDM, HRM, Tourism, and the THRM students. Those researches had undergone evaluation through the panel led Prof. Elisa S. Diaz, Prof. Carmela S. Macatangay and Dr. Virginia Baes. Feasibility studies conducted by the students were also presented during the afternoon. Students from Accounting Management, Accountancy, and Marketing presented various product feasibility studies. The same evaluation procedure was followed to screen the said presentation.
