On the Rise: BatStateU Integrated School Learning Development Center

As BatStateU continue to carve its path in bringing university education on greater heights, a groundbreaking ceremony of a new 3-storey Learning Development Center transpired on BatStateU PB Main I grounds, February 21, 2020, 10:00 AM.

With a total area of 1,732 sq.m., this three-storey Learning Development Center will house the Integrated School (IS) students and other specialized laboratories for an enhanced STEM track environment. As uncovered by the Project Management Office (PMO) Director, Associate Professor Antonio Gamboa, a total of 7 classrooms, office and faculty spaces, robotics, fabrication and computer laboratories and a mini library are the main areas of learning inside the building. Looking at the importance of developmental learning, which starts from basic education, this building will function to be a place beneficial to the progressive acquisition of knowledge from elementary to senior high school level.

Batangas State University President Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo, pointed out on his speech, that aside from the infrastructures, the importance of curriculum and faculty development for the Integrated School should also be put into consideration. All these three should work hand in hand for a more effective attainment of educational understanding. Parents were also given thanks for their support for all the initiatives of the University for the improvement of Integrated School facilities.

Overjoyed is the IS Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) President Mr. Joselito Macalalad for the plans of the university which will open up vast areas of opportunities for the IS students.

The University President together with the Executive Committee, IS Head Teacher III Mrs. Rhodoria Guillo, PMO Director, PTA President and IS Junior High School Governor Hazel Coeleen Catapang, spearhead the ceremonial ground breaking rites for the construction of this soon to erect building.
