The Human Resources Management Office conducted a Personnel Development Seminar on August 6, 2019 to ensure employee productivity and adherence to the existing rules and guidelines of the university. The event was held at the Amphitheater, CITE Building, BatStateU Pablo Borbon Main I, Batangas City— attended by over 300 employees from the 11 campuses of the university.
The whole day seminar gave the participants basic orientation on Disaster Risk Reduction Management and lectures on Cost Cutting Strategies and Measures. Mr. Edward G. Landayan, Project Development Officer II of DRRM Tanauan, Mr. Ernesto V. Itoralba, Nurse/Emergency Medical Technician of Laguna Provincial DRRMO, and Atty. Alvin R. De Silva, Director for Administration Services served as the resource speakers.
Mr. Landayan, in his presentation, discussed the Philippine Risk Profile and its existing DRRM laws and regulations. Meanwhile, Mr. Itoralba talked about the importance of DRRM in the education sector and the responsibility of schools in ensuring the safety of students and personnel. Atty. De Silva, on the other hand, discussed Procurement Management where he highlighted the roles of personnel in the procurement process of the university.
The event was capped off with an exchange of ideas, questions and answers during the open forum.
