First year students and their parents attended an orientation program organized by the Office of Student Affairs and Services for school year 2019-2020 on August 13-15 at the Gov. Feliciano “Sanoy” Leviste Multipurpose Memorial Gymnasium, BatStateU Pablo Borbon Main (PBM) I, Batangas City. This aims to familiarize the participants with the university services, goals and policies that will support their educational goals with BatStateU.
OSAS invited representatives from different offices to discuss the programs and services they offer to students and the rules they need to comply with. These offices include: Student Organizations and Activities Office, Student Discipline Office, Guidance and Counseling Office, Student Publication Office, Scholarship and Financial Assistance Office, Multi-Faith Services Office, Student Housing and Residential Services Office, Food Services Office, Sports and Development Office, Culture and Arts Office, Registrar’s Office, ICT Office, Auxiliary Services Office, Library, Medical and Dental Office, Cashier’s Office and Accounting/Financial Services Office.
University President Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo also delivered a presentation about the university’s goals, plans and accomplishments focused on student development and research. He also shared his personal experiences with the students where he mentioned the importance of education and the values they have to live by.
Deans and Supreme Student Council Officers from different colleges also presented their programs and plan of activities before the students.
