BatStateU Holds Ideation Session for Culture and Arts

Being appointed by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts as the region’s first center for language and culture, the university is now doing its part to contribute to its further development thru research.

Thus, an Ideation Session and Writeshop were conducted for faculty researchers on July 3, 2019 to guide them towards the conceptualization of their research proposals focused on culture and the arts. The Office of the Vice President for Research, Development and Extension Services (VPRDES) in cooperation with the Culture and Arts Office organized the event held at the Lecture Room, International Affairs Office, CITE Building, BatStateU Pablo Borbon Main I, Batangas City.

According to VPRDES Engr. Albertson D. Amante, the purpose of the activity was to build innovation thru effective collaboration. He also mentioned the need to be socially and results- oriented individuals in the creation of proposals as it will involve development, protection and preservation of the region’s culture and arts.

University President Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo, meanwhile, expressed his hopes for the participants and the proposals they are about to make. “I hope that your proposal will contribute to the total humanity and the total well-being of our community and of BatStateU” he said.  He also encouraged them to bring transformation to the lives of people.

During the writeshop, the participants were able to create ideas and present it to VP Amante for evaluation. Each presentation highlighted the idea’s objectives, problems and possible solutions.
