Dr. Biglete Leads 51st Commencement Exercises

Dr. Amelia A. Biglete, Director IV of the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office IV, graced Batangas State University’s 51st Commencement Exercises on March 13 as the guest of honor and speaker.

“This [ceremony] is going to be a defining moment for each one of you [graduates]” said Dr. Biglete in her speech before the 913 graduating students from different BatStateU campuses.

Dr. Biglete talked about the essence of educating oneself in the middle of challenges. “The challenges that await you are doubly greater than the ones you encountered while studying. So I advise you not to stop discovering what is beyond. Always believe in yourself, aim for greatness, aim for success”, she said.

She was confident that the university, which she described as one of the premier state universities in the country, has equipped its students with the necessary knowledge and skills to become successful individuals in their chosen career.  She even shared that finding a job would not be that difficult for the graduates having obtained their academic degrees at BatStateU.

In addition, she shared her hopes of seeing familiar faces in the future as upright professionals with commitment to service.

To finish her speech, Dr. Biglete left the graduates with a motivational message saying, “Remember to find your passion, keep getting up, take risks, and find meaning on everything that you do. Look ahead, move forward and envision your future bright, meaningful and worth every step, every pain and every joy”.

University President Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo, also gave an inspiring message reminding the graduates, “Whatever path you take, remember that as Red Spartans, you are bound to lead innovations and transform lives, as you continue with the BatStateU legacy of striving for excellence geared towards building the nation and improving the lives of Filipinos”.

Members of the BatStateU Board of Regents and Executive Committee also graced the ceremony held at the Gov. Feliciano “Sanoy” Leviste Memorial Multi-Purpose Gymnasium, Pablo Borbon Main I, Batangas City. This year’s theme is “Expanding Institutional Mandates through Knowledge Creation, Social Relevance and Innovation”.

The university once again had the commencement activity via live stream coverage through the university website, www.batstate-u.edu.ph to cater a larger audience.
