The university’s Impact Assessment Research Project Team underwent a three-day training-workshop on impact assessment of extension programs/projects on December 12-14 at the Lecture Room, CITE Building, BatStateU Pablo Borbon Main I, Batangas City. This aims to improve the skills of participants in conducting impact assessment of extension programs.
Said project will determine the impact of the University’s Adopt-A-Barangay Program- a long-term multidisciplinary extension program initiated in 2014 and finished in 2017, to its beneficiaries and ten adopted barangays. This will run for three years with Assoc. Prof. Maria Theresa A. Hernandez, as the Project Leader.
Professors from the University of the Philippines, Los Baños, Dr. Jessie C. Elauria and Dr. Marilyn M. Elauria, were the invited resource persons of the training. These speakers introduced the framework and various dimensions of impact assessment through lectures and activities, providing the participants knowledge on know how they can verify the effectiveness of the changes brought by the program’s activities.
