BatStateU conducts training on the teaching of new general education courses

BatStateU general education teachers underwent training on the teaching of new general education courses last July 16 to August 7 at BatStateU Pablo Borbon Main I, Batangas City. The training was held in preparation for school year 2018-2019 led by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Dr. Erma B. Quinay, Vice President for Academic Affairs, shared that the training will help various departments in developing effective teaching strategies. Through the training-workshop, faculty members will be able to identify different instruments to be utilized in measuring the knowledge of the students.

The training focused on topics such as Science, Technology & Society; Purposive Communication; Mathematics in the Modern World; The Life and Works of Rizal; Ethics; The Contemporary World; Reading Philippine History; and Science & Mathematics Teaching taught by selected faculty members who also underwent general education training by the Commission on Higher Education last year.

Individual and group activities were also held to further intensify the knowledge and skills of the participants.

This training-workshop supports the university’s goal of strengthening the capability and competitiveness of faculty members in the effective delivery of instruction.
