Batangas State University in cooperation with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region IV-A hosted a partnership meeting with the delegates from Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), Singapore on August 1 at the Function Hall, 7th Floor, CIRTC Building, BatStateU Pablo Borbon Main I, Batangas City. The meeting was held to discuss the possible areas of collaboration focused on the involvement and development of the students and staff.
According to NYP International Manager Ms. Judy Emily, the proposed collaboration aims to create overseas opportunities for students and staff to work on applied research projects and for internships. She stated that the partnership will promote cross cultural exchanges between the Philippines and Singapore that will also support the capability development of the students/staff of both parties.
BatStateU President Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo and NYP International Deputy Chief Executive Director Dr. Henry Heng gave their support messages as one way of showing their commitment towards the anticipated collaboration.
As discussed, both parties are set to finalize the five possible areas of collaboration on September this year.
