The Red Spartan community celebrated the 2018 Integrated School (IS) Week- an annual celebration of intelligence and prowess of BatStateU IS students. The purpose of the celebration is to enable the students exercise their skills and talents in the academic and non-academic areas that will allow them to demonstrate a culture of sportsmanship and a sense of leadership.
With the theme “Conquering Challenges, Cultivating Resilience and Continuing Excellence through Unity in Diversity”, the IS Elementary Week was conducted last April 10-13. The student organizations held a series of contests, one of these was the search for Mr. and Ms. IS ELEM 2018 held at Gov. Feliciano “Sanoy” Leviste Multipurpose Memorial Gymnasium. Mr. Ralph Gregor A. Sarmiento and Ms. Chloe Brianna T. Gutierrez took home the titles.
Part of the program was the celebration of a family day where teachers, parents and students enjoyed some quality time with each other. Gandang Ginang 2018- a beauty pageant for mothers was also held in line with the celebration. Mrs. Ronnalyn A. Cariño was hailed as the winner. One of the highlights during the four-day event was the inspirational message from the University President Tirso A. Ronquillo. He expressed his deepest gratitude to all the teachers of IS Department for their patience and perseverance towards the development of the students’ intellectual and societal growth. In his final words, he acknowledged the support that the parents continuously extend to BatStateU.
On the other hand, the IS Junior High students also held a Technolympics themed, “Starting the Digital Age Civilization through Mind Empowerment” on April 16 and 17. The event commenced with a message from Mrs. Rhodoria M. Guillo, IS Head Teacher III where she emphasized the meaning of the celebration, to promote the spirit of unity and appreciate the God-given talents of each individual.
