Kapihan With President Tirso A. Ronquillo together with the SSC Officers

To assure that the students are the main priority of the University, the BatStateU President, Dr. Tirso A. Ronquilllo, personally facilitated a coffee table discussion with the university-wide Supreme Student Council (SSC) Officers called “Kapihan With President Tirso A. Ronquillo (KWPTAR)” that was held on September 14, 2017, 3:00 p.m., at the Lecture Rooms, International Affairs Office, 2nd floor, CITE Building, BatStateU Pablo Borbon Main I, Batangas City.

The SSC Officers with their council advisers, together with Assoc. Prof. Eleonor Sepillo, the Assistant Director of the Student Organizations and Activities (SOA), Dr. Lucille Evangelista, the Director of the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), and Mr. Michael Lagaya, the Director of Public Relations were present in the event.

President Tirso A. Ronquillo had discussed thoroughly and elaborated the updates in terms of the different aspects such as the enrollment, ongoing university projects, achievements of the students in the licensure examinations and other academic and cultural competitions, the profile of the faculty, the accreditation levels of the programs, and even the financial standing of the University as part of being transparent to all stakeholders especially the students. He reiterated that the current students must enjoy now the benefits of the facilities, infrastructural and the other projects on top of the quality education that BatStateU has been offering as part of the University mission of providing a conducive learning environment. He also emphasized the holistic initiatives of the BatStateU community in order to give a significant student and campus life to each Red Spartan student.

The participants actively listened at the President as they enjoyed the unlimited Kapeng Barako coupled with kakanin such as puto and suman.

The KWPTAR is organized by the University President together with the Office of the Public Relations in order to present the University updates and monitor the different stakeholders of the Batangas State University.
