BatStateU joins in the celebration of International Women’s Day

               Batangas State University annually joins in celebrating the achievements and contributions of women to national development. This year’s theme is “We Make Change Work for Women”.  The key foundations of the celebration include partnership for change and full implementation of the Magna Carta of Women (Republic Act 9710).

             Activities conducted in the University were Parade for Women and We Make Change: Women Inspiring Women Forum held at Pablo Borbon Main 1. University officials, faculty, employees, students and other stakeholders participated in the event. The resource persons in the forum were Ms. Pauline C. Plata-Bondad, general manager of Silver Peak Enterprises; Ms. Anna Camille Alido, owner of Wanam sa Bukid Restaurant; and Ms. Sharlene Uy Macaraig-Sawamoto, artistic director of Sur Les Pointes Dance Studio. An infographics contest was also held and entries will be judged on March 17, 2017. Similar activities will be conducted in other campuses until March 31, 2017 as part of the Women’s Month Celebration.
